At Porch Light, our goal is to make our young artists more confident performers by focusing on materials that reflect their personality, setting achievable goals, and inspiring them to take the next step in their creative path. Our private lessons allow students to embrace their talents and overcome challenges in a supportive environment and learning at their own pace. Together, we'll create a customized lesson plan that allows for maximum growth potential and provide encouraging feedback.
Private and semi-private lessons are available in several areas of focus - acting, voice, instrumental, audition/self-tape & college prep - online and in-studio. Monthly members have the opportunity to take their talents to the stage in our showcases throughout the season. Flexible scheduling options are available for 30, 45 or 60-minute sessions with our knowledgable and dedicated instructors.

Instructors are available to focus on acting technique, monologues, scene study, audition techniques, industry coaching, etc. Our qualified instructors can help take your performance to the next level by harnessing each student's unique skills and strengths.

Take your playing abilities to the next level by understanding the fundamentals of music: Notation, Rhythm, Pitch, Tone and Technique. Lessons are available in guitar, bass, saxophone, drums and music theory.

From casting directors to local theatre companies, self-taping has become a common alternative to traditional in person auditions. Let our team team help you put your best foot forward and deliver a memorable and energetic performance that reflects your personality and talents. We'll review your materials, work with you to get your best take(s), record and prepare your digital files for submission.

Let our team of experienced instructors help you navigate the often confusing and intricate audition process for acting, music and musical theatre college programs. Each package begins with a 30-minute consultation where both student and parent meet with our team of professionals to discuss the timeline, requirements and materials required for each program. Based on how many schools and the kinds of programs being applied to, we will then recommend the correct number of lessons to ensure the student is fully prepared for the audition or submission video. Outside of coaching the student, our instructors will also assist in choosing challenging and appropriate materials (both songs and monologues) to make certain they are showcased to the best of their ability. We can also assist with resume preparation, headshots, filming and editing a pre-screen video audition as well as choreography. Our instructors understand the audition process and can help guide you to the program that fits you best!
