This 10-session program is designed for young storytellers and performers aged 11-14, combining the art of playwriting with the excitement of acting. In PlayLab, students will learn the fundamentals of crafting their own short plays, from developing characters and crafting dialogue to building engaging plots. Throughout the program, students will work collaboratively to bring their stories to life through dynamic acting exercises and scene work. The culmination of PlayLab features a final staging where students perform their original works, showcasing their creativity and newfound skills to friends and family. An all-new Academy/Studio hybrid program focused on developing acting and playwriting skills for non-musical theatre acting students. This program is focused on helping students find their voice as an actor and/or playwright, develop their own unique style, collaborate with others and perform original and scripted pieces.
