The sun will come out as our Haworth students bring the beloved musical Annie Jr. to life! Set in 1930s New York City, this heartwarming production gives young performers the opportunity to build skills in acting, singing, dancing, and teamwork while exploring themes of optimism, resilience, friendship, family, and finding hope even when times are tough. At Porch Light, the show is only part of the story. Our mission of #BuildingCharacters means helping young performers grow not just as artists, but as people, learning to show up for one another, take creative risks, work through challenges, and recognize the unique contribution they bring to a cast. Throughout the drama club experience, students will build confidence, strengthen friendships, and discover what they’re capable of both onstage and off. We can’t wait to watch this cast find their voices, support one another, and make this classic story their own, because at Porch Light, we’re not just building characters for the stage. We’re #BuildingCharacters for life.
