In School of Rock: The Musical, students will take the stage in a high-energy production that celebrates individuality, teamwork, courage, and finding your voice. Through singing, acting, dancing, and character development, performers will learn the value of perseverance, self-expression, and supporting one another as they bring this inspiring story to life. At Porch Light, students gain more than performance skills—they build confidence, leadership, and character that will serve them far beyond the spotlight.
The Academy Program for grades 6-12 focuses on building characters through immersive performing arts training, guiding young performers on journeys of self-discovery and transformation. Through comprehensive rehearsals and workshops, students develop their acting, singing, and dancing skills while exploring complex narratives and diverse characters. The program culminates in fully-staged productions, showcasing the artistic growth and dynamic talents of our participants as they bring powerful stories to life.
