Jon Provan

Senior Musical Director / Voice & Instrumental InstructorJON PROVAN is a theatrical writer and musical director from Caldwell, NJ. His song cycle Coming Of Age (book/music/lyrics) enjoyed a sold-out run at the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival. He is the Senior Musical Director at Porch Light, where he has worked on dozens of shows since 2009. He received the 2013 NJACT Perry Award for Outstanding Music Direction (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) and the 2014 Perry Award for Outstanding Production of an Original Musical (Stage Fright, music/lyrics). Jon has written hundreds of songs for theatre, rock bands, and film scores, including the full soundtrack for “New Comic Day,” an upcoming feature-length motion picture (Saturday Pictures, Jupiter, FL).

Ryan Pifher

Artistic Director/Acting Coach/Drums Instructor
Ryan is a member of AEA and SAG-AFTRA. He founded Porch Light Productions in April of 2005 and has worked as an actor, producer, director, writer, and technical engineer for over ten years. He holds degrees from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy and The New School University, both located in New York City. Ryan’s work has been showcased all across the United States and has appeared in many Off-Broadway, television, and film productions. Ryan’s work was also chosen to perform for a Prejudice Education Festival sponsored by the governor of New Jersey.

Bradley McMurray

Vocal/Piano Instructor/Musical Director
Bradley McMurray has been working as an accompanist and teacher for 9 years. He studied Classical Piano and Voice at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY where he received a BM in Music Education. Bradley has worked hard at educating students of all ages throughout his music career, teaching Band, Choir, General Music, and Private instrument lessons at different school locations across the Tri State Area. Bradley has always had a love for music in the theatre. He was featured in multiple roles in high school as well as playing piano for other productions. He recently performed the role of Archibald Craven in the Hexagon Players production of Secret Garden. Bradley was part of the Eastman School of Music's select choir (Chorale) which performed large scale works for orchestra and choir and travelled to perform at different choir festivals and performances, including a concert version of Howard Hanson's Merry Mount at Carnegie Hall. Bradley has had many opportunities to work with different groups of singers. He has conducted/accompanied multiple school choirs, church choirs, and show choirs. He also works with singers one on one in coaching's and in recital. Bradley's love for music spans across all different types of music and he has experience performing and teaching in many styles including, Jazz, Rock, Classical, Pop, Hip Hop, and Musical Theatre.

Kathleen Shelton

Vocal Instructor
Mezzo Soprano Kathleen Shelton, originally from Texas, now resides in New Jersey and maintains an active performance career. In 2016 she worked with Sarasota Opera, Amore Opera, The Princeton Festival, North Shore Music Festival, Western Plains Opera and The Garden State Philharmonic. She has extensive experience singing many genres of music including: Opera, Musical Theatre, Jazz & Pop. She began teaching voice students while she was completing her Master’s in Vocal Performance at Florida State University. Her previous students are finding success in Broadway productions (A Bronx Tale) in National tours (Freaky Friday) and all are active performers. Kathleen concertizes locally with Florham Opera, The Armenian Presbyterian Church, West Hampton Concert Series and The Garden State Philharmonic. kathleensheltonmezzo.com
